New Provincial Holiday
January 29, 2008

The Ontario government has created a new Provincial public holiday called Family Day. This will fall on the third Monday in February and for 2008 that will be the 18th.

Adding Family Day to the calendar gives Ontario (provincial) workers and families a total of nine public holiday per year, putting them on par with Federally regulated workers.

As a Federally regulated workplace we fall under the Canada Labour Code and you already receive 9 statutory holidays.
